If you’ve read any of our previous posts on upcycling, you’ll know it’s an amazing way to support ‘slow fashion’ and reduce the amount of harmful textiles that end up in landfill. Instead of buying new clothes, why not repurpose your old ones? It saves you money, it’s good for the environment, and its so much fun!

YouTube is a great way to learn new skills, and there is an abundance of fashion DIY-ers on the video platform. So to help you get inspired for your next upcycling project, we have put together a list of a few our our favourite DIY Superstars.

The Sorry Girls:

Kelsey MacDermaid and Becky Wright are DIY masters! Based in Toronto, Canada, these two post videos about room makeovers, vlogs and of course, DIY projects. Their passion and talent for what they do is obvious, so you can see why they have over 1 million followers. A video where they show how to make off-the-shoulder tops is a favourite. Annika Victoria:

Scientist by day and seamstress at night, Annika shows her 620,000+ followers how to create varoious quick and easy upcycling projects. She also posts videos featuring her thrift shop hauls – and believe me, she has an eye for a gorgeous bargain! Her DIY side split skirt video is a must-see! Wendy posts sewing tutorials every Wednesday, so there is always plenty of inspiration for your next upcycling project.
